My team provides logistic support for the Intel campuses in the Western United States. In my role I provide leadership and coaching to the DGF team as we provide a wide range of logistics services to our primary customer. My responsibilities include overseeing customer support, logistics planning, data entry, shipment tracking, and peripheral logistical support for other Intel business partners.

I am responsible for auditing of shipments to ensure that export documentation is being processed in a timely fashion to ensure that customs declaration requirements are being met and ensuring federal and international compliance. This included but was not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, supervision, and mentoring of the employees on the human side. On the facility side I was responsible for space planning, maintenance, upkeep, inventory, setup and scheduling of outbound loads, and involvement in carrier negotiations. I worked with the mill production team to ensure that planning, production, storage, and shipping flows smoothly. In my time with Cascades I increased the efficiency of the shipping/warehouse department by 30% thru improved warehouse configuration and inventory procedures. Savings were achieved by revising work schedules, eliminating unnecessary shifts, and increased training of the operators on the SAP tablets and software. Overall inventory accuracy improved to 100%.

My department became the corporate “test center” for new warehouse tracking and shipping practices in the company.
