Worldwide Director of OEM
Managed Rayovac’s Worldwide OEM Business from top to bottom (budgeting, manufacturing, plant operations, P&L, sales and applications engineering teams). Sold to Dallas Semiconductor, Fujifilm, Mattel, Motorola/GI, ST Microelectronics, and Texas Instruments. Closed OEM Division.
Attained plan 105% in fiscal 2002 (OEM 15% increase over 2001).
Returned division to profitability in 2002 (net +$1 million). Plan was to lose $1 million in 2002. Division had lost money in the two years prior to my arrival.
Saved Lithium coin cell battery operation by eliminating unprofitable business, instituting make-to-order policies, reducing $2.8 million dollars worth of inventory and winning new business.
