At times needing to fix clients artwork to get the best finished product possible. Creating polyester plates. Printing a variety of 1 color – 4 color jobs on Canon ImagePress 6010 and 750.

2007-2018 Pre-press Technician/Programmer, ID Images, Fairfield, OH Responsible for making sure that all artwork from clients was suitable for printing. At times needing to fix clients artwork to get the best finished product possible. Creating plates using film processing and digital processing. Also became responsible for programming variable data for barcodes and sequential data. Assisted in shipping, cutting and packaging as needed.

1990-2007 Graphic Designer/Supervisor, Smyrna Graphics, Nashville, TN Responsible for designing a variety of pieces from newspaper ads to direct mail pieces for different companies, including Charter Communications, Comcast Cable, Mediacom and Insight Communications. Other duties included supervising design department, customer service, ordering supplies, stripping, plating, camera work, press operations, Heidelberg die cutter operations. Also assisted in the direct mail department as needed.

1998-2000 Graphic Designer, CBS Printing, Nashville, TN Responsible for the graphic design for several different clients. Other duties included customer service, ordering supplies and assisting in other areas as needed.

1997-1998 Cutter, Corporate Express, Nashville, TN Responsible for cutting a variety of different paper for the presses and making the final cuts to a printed piece. Assisted in other parts of the plant as needed.

1990-1995 Typesetter, Vanderbilt University Printing Services, Nashville, TN Responsible for typesetting and paste-up of a variety of different jobs for the University. Responsible for the weekly layout of 2 campus newspapers. Other duties included camera work and customer service.

1988-1989 Layout Person, Jigsaw Graphics, Nashville, TN Responsible for the design layout to prepare jobs for press. Duties also included camera work (negatives and pmt positives) and stripping.

1987-1988 Layout Person, Triangle Printing, Nashville, TN Responsible for the layout of a variety of different jobs, including shooting of PMT’s for various customers. Also assisted in typesetting and stripping.
