UPMC CARDIOTHORACIC TRANSPLANT UNIT (ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / PART-TIME) 07/2022 – PRESENT) Pittsburgh, PA

Answer incoming calls to address patients’ inquiries and explain the admissions process. Conduct initial patient evaluations to determine the necessary treatment plan for transplant. Helping patients schedule in-person appointments, verifying a potential patients insurance information for services, and entering metabolic labs/records into EPIC database. All other administrative duties: data entry, sending faxes and organizing files.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY COURT OF COMMON PLEAS FAMILY DIVISION CLIENT SERVICE CENTER (UNIT CLERK 4 / CLERK 3 (09/2019-01/22– 05/2022)

Provide administrative support for Domestic Relation Officers in the Client Service Center. Verify, image, and index all Court Orders, Petitions, and Precipices for the Domestic Relations unit. Perform various clerical functions as part of a team environment in support of the Domestic Relations Officers. Front desk duties include: interview/review client’s information and determine how petitions for support should be filed. Review petitions/motions/orders for accuracy, create and or update case information on PACSES computer system as necessary. Sort and distribute mail throughout all Family Division departments and offices.

Answer incoming emergency calls; process and document all calls, utilizing the Vesta and CAD operating systems for dispatch. Monitor and operate silent alarm panels and notify responsible parties. Provide the public with basic instructions to safeguard persons in hazardous conditions, prior to the arrival of trained fire/police personnel (i.e.; CPR, Heimlich, Emergency childbirth, etc.).

MERCY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (Community Treatment Team)– CLINICAL CASE MANAGER (12/15 – 08/16) -- (Operation Safety Net) – OUTREACH CASEWORKER (06/14 – 12/15) Pittsburgh, PA

Provide case management, linkage with resources and benefits in the community, and crisis interventions. Provide assistance and serve as primary staff (maintain a caseload) for an indicated number of individuals receiving services. Complete daily progress/case notes, and participate as a part of a multidisciplinary team, Community Treatment Team, working with individuals who have mental health and substance use diagnosis that live in a variety of community settings.

Outreach duties; identify and service homeless clients; create and maintain community partnerships; and ensure the safety of clients, volunteers, students, and staff during outreach missions. Lead a team of medical staff into homeless camp sites to conduct medical assessments. Execute demographic and socio-economical interviews and assessments to complete agency encounter forms; enter case notes and update client information in the county database. Additionally, drive the Mercy Mobile Medical Unit to various locations in the city of Pittsburgh where homeless and non-homeless can receive care. Attend weekly meetings and in-service trainings.

Provide the student with emotional support, as identified in the student’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Areas may include, but are not limited to: adapting classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives. Participate in the implementation of IEP goals for the purpose of meeting IEP goals and/or district benchmarks.
