I worked on a major revision to a popular Job Web Site for teachers with hundreds of thousands of users. The Web Site uses MVC, Angular and SQL Server. Developed multiple ASP.NET Webform and MVC Applications. I worked with SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services. I programmed with C#, JavaScript, JQuery and AngularJS.

Project Leader/Developer 1998-2015

I worked on developing and integrating an Outage Management System. I installed the system initially on a Tru64 Cluster. But I subsequently updated and migrated the system to a HPUX Cluster, then onto a Linux Blade Server. I maintained a COBOL program that used FINALIST to standardized addresses. I updated the COBOL program at various times for different versions of FINALIST. I wrote and maintained MQ Series programs to transfer transactions from/to the legacy IMS Outage Management System to the new Outage Management System. I also maintained several PL/1 programs that expanded addresses from the Mapping System. I coded using Oracle P/SQL, KornShell, C, C++, Perl, and Python. I used CVS and Git to manage Source Code.

I also worked on a Gas Mobile Dispatching System. I wrote a program to translate XML transactions for the Gas Mobile Dispatching System to a JSON like format for input into the legacy Emergency Control system. And I wrote a program to take a JSON like formatted transactions to XML format for the Gas Mobile Dispatching System.

I helped to implement an Engineering Drawing Version Control System on an HP T500 Unix Server and many HP Unix workstations all running HP-UX UNIX.

Later, I headed up a team responsible for upgrading the Drawing Management System from DMCS to Metaphase.

I implemented an AM/FM (GIS) System to manage the low voltage electric distribution system and the gas distribution system on Intergraph Servers and workstations using FRAMME and MicroStation.

I was added to a team to help finish the coding and testing of a Gas Meter Inventory System written in COBOL running under IMS DB/DC

I wrote and tested some of the online screens for the Gas Meter Inventory System.

Project Leader/Developer 1984 – 1986

I was the team lead that designed, coded, tested, and installed into production a Power Interchange Billing System. The system was an IMS DB/DC system writing in COBOL and PL1. The system was responsible for generating bills for the transfer of power between utilities. The system had to handle complex calculations like “Avoided Cost” using Dispatch Curves.

I wrote the design documents, test plans and supervised the development staff and testing efforts.

I supervised a group supporting and enhancing an IMS DB/DC system writing in PL/1 that was responsible for storing and processing customer load profile data. This system was also responsible for generating the demand and consumption data for large customers that went into the Customer Billing System.
