CONTRACT SENIOR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER, Global Payments, Atlanta, GA June 2021 to June 2023

Build new production infrastructure for the data warehouse platforms housing fifty-eight (58) large databases and 300 TB of data for the corporate enterprise at two data centers. Refresh all existing hardware and software, build out and configure a disaster recovery (DR) facility, and move the new data warehouse platforms to a newly built secure enterprise network infrastructure.

Developed the planning and managed the project team to upgrade the infrastructure for Data Warehouse platforms at the Allen Data Center and Atlanta Metro Data Centers to include procurement, building, implementation, and quality assurance testing on time and on budget.

Migrated Data warehouse /ODS storage environment in Allen DC from XIV and Pure to Infinidat and set up encryption for data at rest.

Established a Disaster Recovery facility for the Data Warehouse platforms that manages the transmission of monetary files to Phillips 66, 7-Eleven, Citgo, and Marathon within the Atlanta Data Center and provide for continued file processing and back-end processing should the Allen data center go off-line. Resolved a 16-year Single Point of Failure (SPOF).

Configured failover to the Atlanta data center DR environment to fully support transaction processing and the back-end processing of the Heartland Global Payments applications, whether necessitated by a disaster occurrence or a planned failover to execute maintenance of the infrastructure or applications.
