Fabricates, fits, repairs, and maintains Orthotic devices, such as braces according to specifications and

under guidance of the Orthotist.

Drills and taps holes for rivets, and rivets components together.

Shapes plastic per measurement.

Covers and pads plastic brace structures, using layers of rubber, felt, plastic, and leather.

May also perform other functions of the Orthotics Technician as designated by the Orthotist.

Checks and distributes goods received.

Packages and labels products before they are dispatched.

Contacts transport companies and coordinates dispatch and delivery with them.

Ensures a clean and safe workhouse for staff to be in.

Stores stock away safely.

Ensures that all outbound shipments are processed and loaded, in accordance with daily priorities.

Communicates with all supervisors at start of shift to ensure that all shift priorities are clearly understood, and that conflicting priorities are addressed to ensure efficiency of operations.

Advises management of problems that adversely affect the timely shipment of customer orders.

Works with the Shipping Manager, implement a performance reporting system to measure the effectiveness of the area(s) of responsibility.

Ensures that all additional tasks or priorities assigned on a day to day “as needed” basis are completed in accordance with direction given. Skills

Years of experience in shipping & receiving, stock room.

Years of experience in FEDX, UPS, Mail Dispatch, Ontrac shipping systems.

Years of experience in Scanner Gun.

Certified in forklift.
