The primary duties and responsibilities currently assigned are focused on supporting the administrative requirements of the Crane and Rigging Services Division, which include:
Data collection and data entry; assisting with the management of the research, analyzing, gathering and dissemination; maintaining records and organizing files.
Have knowledge in the utilization of various computer application programs to develop and create documents.
Material requisitioning to assist with the management and control of the Division's plant property.
Maintain a sufficient inventory of various supplies and order new equipment as needed.
Maintain weight handling equipment inventory and order equipment as necessary.
Resolve issues with the building and facilities, such as needed maintenance or emergency repairs.
Carry out regular inspections and inventory of building/office condition to identify any areas where improvement is needed.
Carry out a number of special projects including planning, implementing, tracking metrics and fully reporting on the results of the projects.
Works with serviced units including personnel outside of the immediate organization, such as SWRMC and Private Businesses.
Fields and directs telephone customers’ calls to the correct manager for action.

Journeyman Rigger
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
Journeyman Rigger. Demonstrates exceptional knowledge and leadership skills to safely execute procedures and requirements to conduct crane operations including, lifting procedures for safe rigging practices in accordance with NAVFAC P-307.
Provides leadership and guidance to crane teams by planning and prioritizing workloads. Inspects and selects proper weight handling equipment for complex and non-complex crane lifts.
Removes heavy objects from confined spaces utilizing beam clamps, chain falls and shackles.
Undaunted by the complexity, degree of difficulty of the job, he excels with assigned crane teams in accomplishing installation and removal of critical assets, shafts, propellers and ship’s gas turbine engines, pumps and Antennas.
