I started as a laborer. I worked my way up in little over a year and began spraying and moved up to management. First I would mask the truck using hand maskers with tape, paper and plastic. Then would hand sand the inside of the truck bed where I would be applying the bed liner. After that I would power sand the areas with a 9 inch grinder with a 4 inch cut brush. Next I would blow out all the dust. Followed by wiping the area with acetone. Then I would apply a special 1/4 inch tape with a string line in it. now the truck is ready to spray. I would spray the truck, then pull the string to give it a nice finish line. Now pull off all the masking and double check the truck is nice and clean. then I would make invoices and take payments. I also picked up and dropped off the truck to and from the dealerships. Dealt with all the customers such as answering the phone, answering any questions and giving quotes. I also placed orders for material and supplies.

Foreman/ sprayer

Scott Duncan Painting - Bakersfield, CA

I prepped and painted new construction homes. When the house framed I would paint the facia board with a 9 inch roller on an extention pole. once the house was stucoed, I would spray the eves using a ladder and scaffoling with a graco airless sprayer. When the interior of the house was ready to paint, I would first spray the cabinets with sanding sealer. While the cabinets were drying, I would puddy and caulk all door jabs, baseboards and shelfing. Once the cabinets dried, I would hand sand them with sanding sponges. If the cabinet were to be stained then i would spray the stain, if not then I would spray them with lacquer. Once the cabinets were complete and dry. I would then mask all windows, door hinges and cabinets using and hand masker with tape, masking paper and mask plastic. Now the house is ready to paint, so I would spray the whole interior using a graco airless sprayer. Before carpet was installed I would come back to the same house and cut all egdes with a paint brush. And roll all walls with a 9 inch roller. After carpet was installed I would come back again with drop clothes to do any final touch ups. I also ordered all material and supplies.
