Overview

Started my career at Technical High School, completed my 2 year mandatory Military Service in the South African Air Force, working on the Mirage F1 fighter aircraft.

Joined Unilever as an Apprentice Instrument Mechanician, qualified with in 3 years. Obtained T4(L.C.) from Germiston Technical College before qualifying.

Joined Altech Instruments as Junior Salesman, within 2 years I was promoted to Product Manager, a year after that I was promoted to National Sales Manager. The company had about 16 agencies varying from Process Control Measuring component and Recorders and Data Loggers. And an extensive range of Electric/Electronic Test Equipment, Electrical, Data Communication, RF Analyzers and Waveform Generators. In addition, we sold Laboratory Calibration Standard to the CSIR, SABS and then SA Railway.

Was Head Hunted for a position in the Weights and Measures Industry as a Nation Sales Manager. Service Department let the Sales Department down by late delivery of custom-built systems. Started to manage the Service Department and grew the company by delivering projects to end users.

Took on position to promote Building Management systems in another province, to market their range of Building Automation Systems and components. Products included Casino Backbone systems, The casino operators where a bit skeptical about the company’s history. They had about 70% of the local market for HVAC and Building Managements systems, they left South Africa because of embargoes and customers for forced to replace their equipment.

Head Hunted by a company back in Johannesburg to promote Machinery Automation products. Attended International Marketing meeting in Germany.

Systems supplied included: Cut To Length, On the Fly Cutting, Multi Stage Press Feeders, CNC conversions of 3 Axis Milling Machines, Replace inefficient DC motors with Servo Motor technology Custom Built production machines.

Started my own company that specialized in Diagnostic Systems and Services for Trucks, Tractors, Cars, Bikes and Boats. Work include resetting the vehicle ECU’s including Engin Management Systems, Fuel Injection (Diesel and Gass), Recalibrated Gearbox controllers, ABS Controller component replacement set up, Body Computer controllers, Airbag reset Ecu’s.

Moved to Nelspruit to be closer to my son. Took on a position to Market H.V, MV and L.V. Electrical Services in the province. Duties included Tender Briefing Meeting with companies, call on exciting and new clients. Quote on New, Refurbished and Repairs to H.V. Transformers.

Started my own company to provide customers with a ”1 Stop Car Wash and Sports Bar”. Customers would enjoy entertainment while their vehicle gets washed. We also provided a Valet Service for Car Dealers to clean Cars, Trucks, Boats and Trailers (Caravans).

With the restrictions of Covid I was not able to keep the doors open.

Applied for me “Green Card”, it took the best of 18 months to obtain this. Been in the USA since 19 March 2023. I have a Virginia County Drivers License and a Social Security number.
