I am Michael ochiel an Embedded and mobile systems engineer with an Electrical Engineering Background. My passion lies in creating innovative technology products in emerging sustainable fields such as E-mobility and Clean energy. I have experience working in telecommunication companies handling Network equipment in data centres, Transmission equipment installations and subscriber client premise equipment for WAN and LAN configurations in Major towns in Kenya. I also have experience leading a team of electrical engineers in electrical installations and maintenance of electrical equipment. I love to provide solutions to societal problems. Having a mastery of embedded systems, I have undertaken personal projects, analysing system requirements, designing system architecture, prototype development, system testing and end-user interviews for system validations. I excel in independent work and collaborative team settings, consistently delivering projects on time and meeting objectives. My most outstanding expertise is in TinyML solutions for embedded systems. My fascination with engineering started by experimenting with simple electronics at a young age. I became passionate in adulthood; having learnt about the trade and all the possibilities that lie with technology and innovation, I seek to be a globally recognised professional. I am delighted about designing systems, developing test criteria and testing to evaluate system reliability. As a researcher, I understand the importance of communication, justification and documentation. I have written two scientific papers accepted for oral presentation at the IEEE AFRICON2023 conference. I advocate for Sustainable development and am keen on the drive towards zero carbon emission hence my interest in E-mobility. I have the interdomain experience that would be valuable for a product development team.
