SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Adhere to all relevant requirements,
policies, procedures and legal
regulation pertaining to healthy,
safety, environment and quality,
human resource, and any other
regulations as required by the
company and relevant to the role
and responsibilities of the function.
Ensure that the Sulphuric acid
plant and associated plant and
equipment items operate
efficiently and safely within
prescribed limits to achieve
production targets.
Monitor plant equipment items and
processes via Distributed Control
Systems (DCS).
Remotely start, stop and adjust
equipment items and processes via
DCS.
Respond to alarms and processes
disturbances in a timely manner.
Provide Plant operators, Shift
artisans, and Shift servicemen,
Contract employees with correct
information and instructions as
required enabling them to carry
out their jobs safely and
efficiently.
Set instant production rates on
plant operations, maintain set
points and responsible to increase
overall productivity as directed by
Shift Controller, initial diagnosing
of plant problems and makes
decision to stop the plant for safety
and environmental reasons.
