JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform MRI scan such as routine procedure,
MRI Brain, MRI Spine MRI Neck, MRI Abdomen,MRI Upper Extremities, MRI Lower Extremities and others such as MRCP, MRV, MRA, Spectroscopy, fistulogram and etc..
Perform CT scan such as routine procedure, CT- guided fine needle aspiration and biopsy, which is prefire needle, postfire needle, postfire needle widrawn, CT-dynamic, CT angiogram Stat trauma patient and other, related examination.
Protocols contains all the present scan parameter information required to perform CT scanning, Including bolus tracking ( angiogram) 3D and images reconstruction, and new 3D processing (SYNGO VIA). It is therefore necessary to alter any of the present scan parameter defending on the patient size, the area of anatomy required and the personal choice of the operator and radiologist involved.
Scout parameters are suggestions only and will be affected by several factors such as patient size, required anatomy and the operator/radiologist own choice.
Adjust window width/window level settings to adequately show the grey and white matter configuration.
All trauma cases, complete series of acquisitions with bony window settings. Measure the midline shift, hemorrhage size and depth of SDH and EDH.( head).
Image series of acquisitions on bony window settings, to establish the fragmentation at the fracture site, erosion.
Image size of acquisition on soft tissue settings to show exact location and outline of any occupying lesion, any pathology, mucosal thickening, rapture etc.
Query lesions, repeat series with dynamic contrast infusion @4cc/sec (auto injector/multi phase) or by radiologist choice of parameter.
Check, daily, the number of essential items required during scanning procedures e.g. Contrast agent,, and butterfly needles, emergency tray.
Most important, ensure that the CT scanner has been through the “warm up” routine before patient positioning.
Ensure the scan room is always tidy and presentable before patient enters.
All accessories i.e. coronal and axial head rest, head and chin straps, Velcro binders and positioning wedges, must all be checked and clean prior to a patients arrival.
Performs radiographic conventional examination.
Carry out the radiographic duties, plain, routine and special radiological investigation and for portable x-ray where needed in the hospital.
Performs image intensifier screening in the operating room for orthopedic, urology and surgical cases.
Assume care for physical and psychological needs for patients during examination and procedures.
Protect patients, public and self from unnecessary exposure to radiation by applying the principle of radiation protection.
Demonstrate good quality anatomical structures on radiograph by applying the knowledge in radiographic position and technique.
Rotational quality controller and auditing for total quality management of the hospital system.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of diagnostic rooms.
Performs all other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of my knowledge, skills and ability.
