The SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Assay uses real-time, reverse transcriptase qPCR for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 via melt-curve analysis. The test is intended for patients who meet COVID-19 clinical and/or epidemiological criteria. Testing is performed on nasopharyngeal swabs collected in UTM. This test has been authorized by FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
