understanding the work order control system and understand the parts/stock requisitioning process.
Complete work orders on time and communicate closures or further maintenance requirements, Identify and requisitions
parts, document repair history for equipment including labor, materials and outside Maintenance services.
Rebuild equipment and components as needed. Perform equipment repairs and recordings using PM's and work order
system formats.
Determine need for Breakdown analyzes, and make necessary running adjustments, repairs and
overhauls.
Advice and caution supervision, operators and other affected employees about potential mechanical
problems and inherent dangers involved.
Experience with smokehouses.
CAPABILITIES:
•Thorough understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic system including schematics and symbols.
•Understanding and use of lubrication including schedules and types of lubricants used.
•Understanding of 220/480V 3-phase.
•Understanding of mechanical drive system (chain, belts, direct drives, servo drives etc.)
•Proper use of hand and power and shop tools.
•Expert skill with shop equipment including grinder, drill press, hydraulic press, metal cutoff saw,
band saw, and electrical hoist.
•Start up and shut down equipment in the line with company safety and USDA standard procedures
for equipment under power and Cal-OSHA.
•Follow LOTO procedures as required by Cal OSHA.
•Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventive maintenance on
equipment.
•Overhaul and installed new equipment, rebuilt and fabricate parts as needed.
•Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area.
•Perform equipment changeover and production line setups.
•Full range of tool to perform install, repair, rebuild, or overhaul work of manufacturing or service
Equipment from blueprints, company manufacturing manuals, written or verbal instructions.
•Provide immediate preventive and corrective maintenance support to production lines facilitating
Changeover.
•Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan setup and operation of all types of packaging
and processing equipment.
•Working knowledge of sanitation procedures.
•Personal responsibilities include Safety, Quality, Productivity.
•Cost saving, implementation of new product procedures.
•Utilize support groups to generate ideas and formulate plans of action for quality improvement, cost
reduction, and general improvements to the process.
