Key Responsibilities

Representing the company, working as a Project Engineer to manage site, construction, T&C of MV/LV/Street lighting, Tunnel lighting and MEP systems.

Preparing construction documents (Material submittals, SD/As-built drawings, Method statements, Inspections, Invoices and RFI’s.

Supervision and monitoring of site construction activities (Installation, T&C, material approvals and inspections, Materials delivers.

Carry out technical review for all areas of work covered in Kahramaa & substations, building services/Facilities, underground technical rooms, Tunnels, Car parks, External utilities and landscape projects.

Kahramaa distribution substation, Infrastructure cabling Network (MV/LV/750VDC ) supervision, Construction, T&C including 11KV switchgears and Service transformers, Inverters/rectifiers, Facility and Power SCADA system.

Managing the relationship Correspondence for all technical issues & Inspections with Local Government Authorities Kahramaa (Material Approvals, equipment fitting inspections, protection testing, final commissioning).

Design, testing and commissioning of Earthing and lightning protection of overall system.

Coordination with authorities Kahramaa, Ashghal Qatar Civil Defense, for inspection and approvals.

Supervision of installation including the Masts/Poles erection and positioning, Cantilever installation) and T&C.

Attend technical meetings with the Client, Sub- contractor, designer, Consultants, Coordination with other disciplines of the Project management team, subsystem disciplines.

Engaged with Handover process and documentation. Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues, punch lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages until the projects are successfully commissioned and handed over.

Providing technical input and experience to resolve discipline-related engineering issues on the project. Also, provide overall technical support to the client to assist in completing the project on time and to specifications.

Plan and coordinate between Operations & Maintenance teams to ensure project requirements are met and aligned.

Identifying issues and risks that need to be brought to the attention of senior project management as necessary.

Monitors Subcontractor performance pertaining to schedule and conformance to plans and specifications. Also, maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos.

Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues. Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work.

Implementing safety procedures and ensure electrical works conform to the project specification and accepted engineering practice.

Supervision of Construction, T&C and interfacing of distribution & Primary Substations systems including MV/LV & MEP Systems including Road & street lighting Network.

Plan, Schedule and delegate the work to the staff to ensure full productivity and efficiency to deliver the projects within the agreed time allocated.

Managing the relationship Correspondence for all technical issues & Interfacing with Local Government Authorities Kahramaa (Material Approvals, equipment fitting inspections, protection testing, final commissioning), Civil defense (For FACP/FECP and emergency lighting inspections) and with the client.

Check and ensure effective co-ordination between all discipline related works.
