I perform bedside procedures. I place central venous catheters, PICC lines, Ultrasound guided peripheral intravenous lines, perform paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis. I assess the patient to make sure they can tolerate the procedure, assess the patient’s labs, diagnostic tests, and perform my own assessment with the ultrasound to make sure the procedure is safe to perform.
