Yard Manager

As a Yard manager, I check in and out all trucks that come in and out of the property.I jot down driver info as well as truck number, container/trailer number, seal numbers date and and time of arrival and time of exit. I also direct traffic flow accordingly and escort trucks to their destination of interest. All trucks must be weighed, so with my radio that I use to contact dock supervisors,dispatcher and office, I contact the corresponding department to let them know the truck is in position to get the weight ticket accurately printed. Once weighed and notified exactly where the truck will be loading or unloading, I guide them there personally. I make sure the yard is neat and free from debris and that there is nothing obstructing or blocking a path that may prove difficult for drivers to maneuver through. I am also responsible for sealing any loads that are weighed and ready for the security process, which I carry out by using the proper seals to lock the doors on the back of containers, placing tampering stickers on them and finally taking multiple pictures to ensure clients that the proper security measures have been taken. At the end of the work day, I jot down an inventory of all the containers in the yard and that they are properly closed and secured before the end of the work day. CDL Class A Driver

As a Class A CDL driver,I have a pristine and accident free driving record. Some of my objectives were weighing containers/trailers and parking them in their appropiated docks.Containers that are put away, I parked so that they were well aligned neatly so that it helped manage the free space efficiently. I can maneveur and park any sized trailer to any given location, hassle free. Many times, I would transport or pick up loads locally using a van, flatbed or 53" tractor trailer truck, and I would travel up to 100+ miles from my based location and back. Skills
