DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Airside Operations

(Team Leader/Product Monitor)

Responsible for ensuring that all my staff and all persons operating in my area of control work in a safe manner and follow all rules, regulations and procedures at all times. To supervise all activities related to assigned areas on shift.

Ensure the team is providing the best services and optimum quality by adhering to the work instruction and continuously striving to follow best practices, to achieve the dnata mission, vision and values.

Hold or attend Job Safety Briefings and focused meetings with team to discuss matters of operational importance, learnings and outcomes of investigations.

Ensure teams are aware of regularity requirements of ODLN/ASR checks and adequate measure are taken for ULD care.

Distribute task cards evenly amongst the team and monitor time, efficiencies and regulatory requires are adhered.

Prepare the built-up task monitoring sheet to gage the engagement and efficiencies.

Once the task is complete conduct a final check and inform the respective product monitor.

Housekeeping and pallets racks and segregation of damage ULD’s from serviceable falls in the domain of your team.

Responsible for the areas of control, and staff reporting to him/her. In case of an incident in the areas of control, be the responder and facilitate investigation findings for Safety teams.

If required by the Department Officer and approved by the SDM, arrange for addition outsource manpower where needed.

ACCEPTANCE (Export)

Assisting customer / shipper step by step to process their shipment for export.

Accept the cargo and checks the correct weight, dimension and number of pieces.

Ensure the cargo meets the right and correct packaging to transport by air.

Relocating the shipment to its proper storage unit or specific location

Checking all relevant documents needed and do the data entry thru DACS system.

Double checks the shipment for any possible hidden dangerous goods.

Inform the shipper to prepare a declaration of dangerous goods for every DG shipment.

Screens cargo with the aid of Airport Police Authorities for Cargo under-cooling period.

Communicate to the warehouse team for any urgent shipment and prioritize it to avoid any delays at the time of buildup.

EXPORT BUILD-UP

Checks / reviews file for approval and signing pertaining to Cargo Operations.

Receives documents pertaining to Cargo Operations in which database will be created after.

Hand over documents pertaining to Equipment Operations.

Loading in ULD / BULK as per airline policy and instructions.

Gives further instructions in loading cargo as per plan, ensuring the standard checking are strictly followed.

Ensures all cargos are safely packed and sealed not compromising the standards set forth by the company.

Strictly complies with standard rules and policy set forth by AITA for cargo operations and procedure.

Provides information’s to about the DGR to the Senior Cargo Assistant.

Weights the ULD and ensures that appropriate tags are indicated according to specific airline requirements.

IMPORT BREAKDOWN

Checks / reviews file for approval and signing, receives documents from Senior Cargo Asst.

Retrieves ULD’s for breakdown from Elevating Transfer Vehicle as per given instruction by SCA.

Dismantle units and ensures proper location in the warehouse are allocated for storage.

Ensures all shipments are provided with Airway Bill for easy location.

Provides proper location based on category such as Perishable Goods, Radioactive Material, Diplomatic Mail and Cargo, Dangerous Goods, Vulnerable Cargo as per given cargo manifest.

Ensures that cargos are taken good care of by operators, porters while unloading the shipments.

Assures that priority is given to EHU (Express Handling Unit) and courier

(Can also work on Import Ramp and ITT department)
