Project Description

The project includes various improvements to existing roads and intersections, widening of existing roads, parking, cycle tracks, kerb lines and/or new construction of the same and any other minor road works deemed necessary at several locations in Dubai for Developers as listed above.

The project includes the construction of any required improvements serving access connectivity (not limited to outer main roads but to existing agricultural farms, private / government units and future links etc.), parking requirements, pedestrian movement, cyclist movement, disabled users movement, calming measures, traffic circulation and public buses circulation and accessibility to abutting land uses. Special consideration shall be given to the proposed detour in order to avoid any disruption along the main roads. The work also includes the provision of street lighting services, landscape and irrigation work; crossing ducts for different utilities, and the relocation and/or protection of existing services affected by the proposed highway scheme based on coordination and approval of the respective utility authorities. Successful Tenderer shall provide 3 samples for decorative items including but not limited to decorative Pedestrian Fence, underpass wall ceramic tiling, finishing to soil nailing wall etc. for client’s approval.

Project Description

The project consists of the construction new road linking Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road (E-84/E-102) and Al Showaib Roundabout (E-60/E-55) approximately 6.5 km road that passes through the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and is proposed to be 3 lanes per direction dual carriageway with Overpass/bridge, underpass. The project scope mainly includes widening of the existing road E-55 to 3 lanes in each direction as well as provides free flow access at the al Showaib roundabout area. This road is the strategic corridor connecting the eastern port city of Fujairah to Al Ain city in Abu Dhabi Emirate.

This project stretch starts from Showaib Roundabout area to Sharjah Emirates Border, The Scope comprises the Strengthening and widening of around 6.5 km of the existing pavement on E-55 Highway, from existing 2x2 lanes to 3x3 lane configuration with proposed Bridge and Underpass.

The Project mainly includes adding one lane to exiting dual 2-lane carriageway at both the directions of the existing highway. The work consists of the following:

Scope of Work:

•Construction of a dual carriageway road with three (3) lanes in each direction

(widening and new construction)

•Construction of I Overpass with MSE wall and riprap for the slope protection works

Project Description

•Project R880 comprises the upgrading and development of Mirdif Interchange, situated along khawaneej road at its crossing with Algeria road, between Mirdiff and Al Muhaisnah.

•The existing dumbbell interchange will be replaced with a single point urban interchange, at the same position as the existing interchange. The new interchange will require the following works:

•Construction and maintenance of temporary deviations to accommodate regular vehicular traffic at the site.

•Demolition of the existing interchange, including existing earth embankments, concrete structures and surfaced areas.

•Construction of a new bridge deck over Khawaneej road for the top intersection; and a new deck over the north-western on ramp(next to the cinema) from the top intersection, to accommodate grade separation with the onramp from the southern approach.

•Construction of new link road which included a directional ramp over Khawaneej road as well as underpass tunnel connecting to khawaneej road.

•Construction of approach ramps and roadways.

•Construction of retaining walls for the reinforced earth embankments for the approaches to the interchange.

•Improvement of the geometry of Al Khawaneej road by changing the vertical profile of both carriageways of this road.

•Improvement of the vertical profile along Algeria road at the approaches from Mirdiff and Al Muhaisnah.

•Relocation and protection of existing services affected by the construction and revised interchange configuration. The existing ETISALAT GSM exchange will be retained. The generator room and diesel interchange will be carried out such that the normal daily traffic is accommodated around the site. tank for this facility will be relocated.

•Installation and completion of appurtenant works, such as signage, road markings and street lighting.

•The upgrade of the interchange will be carried out such that the normal daily traffic is accommodated around the site.
