I started out as a Utility worker bringing raw material to different machines for production. I emptied bailers and Gaylord's when they were full. I organized the racks with finished materials and maintained a clean workspace. I did that for six months and moved up to a Slitter operator position, which I setup the machine to cut down different size rolls of paper products to proper width. I was there for four months and an opening for a Pressman's helper opened up, I was told that's where highest pay was at, so I bid on the position and got it. I was on the backside of the press learning how to setup each job, which anilox to use, what plate cylinders go where, to constantly time inks, splicing different materials together and so on, so many things to learn, it took about eight months until I was able to start running the press.
