JOB DESCRIPTION: Audio Visual Technician

•Providing technical support for meetings and video conferences

•Install, maintain, and repair (minor) a variety of AV Communications Systems, and equipments including video conferencing devices/Polycom System

•Providing technical support to audio visual system.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Telecommunication Technician

•Splicing of copper/fibre optic cable using fusion machine fujikura 60s

•Testing and trouble shooting using OTDR Fluke and IR testing

•Cable pulling and install cables fibre/copper in paging system and CCTV Camera

•Glanding and Termination of cables in Instrument Junction Box and Telephone Junction Box

•Installing of cat 5 and cat 6 cable rj-45 rj-11

•Performs MDF/Cabinet jumpering and rehabilitation.

•Supports engineers for acceptance, migration/cutover activity.

•Participates in commissioning and acceptance test.

•Laying and patching of fiber optic cable/ structures cabling.

•Pre-testing of fiber joints using light source and power meter.

•Installs subscriber’s telephone line, ADSL line, Fiber to the Home(FTTH), and perform routine maintenance works, including installing different Optical Network Terminal(ONT’s) like ONT type HUAWEI-851A, HUAWEI,851, Zone 2520.

•Transferring all lines to fiber optics from copper to fiber.

•Opening and closing of spliced using Raychem closure or lead closure.

•Repairs troubles on subscribed lines using handset, conduct test and restores service by replacing defectives wires, or tightening of loosen connection.

•Restores service by temporary chair pair

•Repairs individual cable trouble and test conductors and cables to ensure proper connections.

•Perform inspection of man hole and optical testing.

•Coordinates and assists Central Office (C.O.) personnel In identifying, enumerating, testing, and measuring faults in the telephone lines with the use of testing equipment to locate and analyze ICT’s and MCT’s.

•Trouble shooting of defective cable primary and secondary cable using Dynatel equipment.

•Trouble shooting and installing Intercom and PABX.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Performs activities under the following craft functions (SIM, OP, and PBX) of Plant Operations:

Subscribers Installation & Maintenance (SIM)

•Installs subscriber’s telephone instrument including the terminal outlet and its accessories (J-hook, pole clamp, house bracket, line or drop wires, protector, connecting clock, and grounding system) for all types of company provided telephone instrument. Performs routine maintenance works.

•Repairs troubles on subscriber lines using handset; conduct test and restores service by replacing defectives wires, instruments, protectors, or tightening of looses connections.

•Performs minor correctives maintenance by:

•Testing all facilities involved

•Restores service by temporary chair pair

•Repair of minor faults at Xcon, DLC, DP, and AT MDF horizontal

•Installs and performs operational functional test on Access Subscriber Loop Carrier (multiplex equipment); repairs/maintains multiplex equipment by replacing defective modules.

•DLC- Digital Loop Carrier

•Subscriber Carrier Equipment

•Calls Central Office (C.O.) personnel and other sections to coordinate and verify work order thereafter.

•Reports/Coordinates regularly to Dispatch on work development, completion, and new work order given thereafter.

•Lists work development, completion, and other data that comprises the Consumption and Work Report (CWR) and submits to supervisor at the end of his duty

•Conducts preventive maintenance on submitted plant assessment by supervisor to ensure that all installation are within standard specification set by the Company and all repaired telephone met the required customer’s expectation especially for Key Business Clients (KBC) and High Value Business Clients (HBC)

Outside Plant (OP) Cable Works

•Works on aerial platform, manhole, and basement of large buildings in splicing conductors in the cable to keep the circuit continuous.

•Splices aerial and underground cables, straight bridge or butt splicing, installing and cable slicing terminals, splicing house cables, splicing loading coils, and cable transfer.

•Repairs individual cable trouble and test conductors and cables to ensure proper connections.

•Conducts flow analysis and repair of leaks, installation of valve and accessories on pressurized cables to determine/locate cable pressures and leaks.

•Performs inspections of manhole, optical testing, and splicing of fiber optic cables.

•Coordinates and assists Central Office (C.O.) personnel In identifying, enumerating, testing, and measuring faults in the telephone lines with the use of testing equipment to locate and analyze ICT’s and MCT’s.

PBX Maintenance

•Performs installation, routine maintenance, testing and checking of all types of Electronic Private Branch Exchange (PABX) and Key Telephone System (KTS) including trunk lines and local stations installed at PLDT and customers premise.

•Repairs all types of PABX and KTS equipment, local stations, trunk lines and attendant cabinets, switchboards and signaling equipment by localizing trouble (using especial tools such as Test Tones, Lap Top, VMN Tester, ect.)checking relays, replacing of defective modules, and re-programming, if necessary.

•Maintains trunk lines of subscriber-owned PABX and KTS equipment.

•Performs coordination activities with 176 and climbing of poles relative to the installation and troubleshooting activities on outside cables, tie lines, DID trunk and ODD trunk lines.
