Description: Emirates Airline is a world’s leading Airline. The Emirates CBI data warehouse is a Teradata Industry “Travel and Hospitality LDM” implementation. The project is implemented on Teradata 15 database. Informatica PowerCenter 9.5.1 is used as the ETL tool. I worked on this project in the capacity of ETL lead. I managed a team of 15 ETL developers working on an on-shore/off-shore model. My responsibilities included understanding customer expectations and designing the ETL architecture in light of that, planning the ETL tasks, managing ETL resources (which were scattered mainly in 3 different locations i.e. Dubai, Cyprus and Pakistan), keeping an eye on the quality of the solution being delivered, meeting the timelines and getting customer feedback.

Description: Lloyds is the largest retail and commercial bank in the UK. I worked as an on-site semantic layer developer for Lloyds. I worked on the planning branch project, the purpose of which was to identify the correct planning branch for each retail customer based on the customer’s ATM and retail transactions.
PTCL, Nov 2013 – Dec 2013

Description: PTCL is the largest landline telecom services provider in Pakistan. I had the experience of working as an ETL developer for PTCL earlier in 2007 as well. PTCL decided to upgrade their ETL infrastructure in 2013 and move the development from script-based utilities to Informatica PowerCenter 9. I worked as an ETL architect to design the Informatica ETL architecture. As part of the exercise, I setup the Informatica repository and Integration services, created users, user groups, roles etc. and defined the access rights, established the naming conventions and development standards and developed template ETL jobs that worked as guidelines for the ETL developers.

Description: Telenor Pakistan is the second largest telecommunication service provider in Pakistan and one of the key Clients for Teradata Pakistan. The data warehouse program at Telenor is 6 -7 years old which comprises of a Teradata CLDM implementation using Teradata as the RDBMS. They launched a Financial Intelligence project in Mar 2013 with the aim to integrate the financial Oracle ERP data into the already existing data warehouse

Onshore/offshore ETL Lead Developer involved in ETL development using Informatica Power Center 8.6.1. Worked on various projects in the NDW program such as Sales Planning Simulation (SPS), Electronic Claim Handling, MAPS, Transportation Management System, Sales Organization and Factory Repair.
