As a hire at BWW I was starting off at 17 years old, employed as a Hostess/Cashier. Here I became familiar with the “micro” or “POS” systems that can vary at different establishments. I later worked as Togo specialist and Expo. Once I turned 18 years old, I was then promoted to a Servers position. As a server I became equipped with managing alcoholic beverages, need, trays, and completing multiple tasks at once.

In a sports bar and grill the environment is fast paced and crowded so it’s vital to run food and alcoholic beverages. You’re given as designated section, while accommodating your guests, being hands-on is a apart of teamwork and allows the guests around the store to be greeted and accommodated.

It is an upscale environment, on the job we are required to do running-side work, up keep throughout the shift and folds at outs and the end of a shift. Very different experience than a sports-bar environment, formulating a flexible work ethic.
