Award-winning copywriter Daniel LaVelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Duquesne University in the US and a Master of Arts degree in linguistics/MATESL from City University of Hong Kong. He is an SAR permanent resident.

LaVelle was invited to lead the marketing communication division at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong where he carried out a wide range of copy writing, media relations, as well as crisis management duties and other projects including ad development, press materials and other travel-related resources. He also has 4A experience with Tai Ping Advertising.

More recently Dan has served as consultant for many hotels, airlines and has formerly worked with the Hong Kong tourism authority on a number of special campaigns.

Fully fluent in Japanese, Daniel Lavelle has also been involved in numerous creative media and promotional projects with top Japanese firms, including Sony, Sanyo, Honda Motors, Shiseido cosmetics, NHK, and many others.
