Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer

State of California – M23667

Experienced in all aspects of engineering for buildings and facilities operation, design, and construction. Trace 700, Revit/AutoCad software, Microsoft Project, Means Cost Estimate, Excel, Word, EnergyPro, Carrier Load, SAP/EAC. Projects requiring a high level of knowledge and experience to achieve a successful outcome for all, working closely with local safety authorities, facilities maintenance, procurement, and upper management to complete the projects on time and in budget.

Special Skills:

• Engineering Strategic Planning

• Load Calculations

• Energy Analysis/T24

• Systems Design

• Construction

• Commissioning

• Controls

• Schedules

• Cost Estimates

Engineered Systems Including: High Performance Air System Design, Chilled Box/Beam, Radiant Panels, Vrv/Vrf & 3-pipe HR, Dedicated OSA, Indirect-Direct Evap, Fin Tube Valence (heating or cooling), Thermal Energy Storage, 4-pipe Hydronic HR & Grid, Fan Walls, High Performance Building, Double Duct Vav, Zero Net Energy, Hybrid Fluid Coolers, Engineered Resin, ALC Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Process Exhaust, Fume & Laboratory Exhaust, Hospital OR, Clean Rooms, Hepa Filters,Fin Condensate Recovery, Vacuum Chambers, LN2, GN2, Hazardous Gases, H Occupancy, A/B Occupancy, Plumbing Water & Waste, Storm, Rainwater Recovery, Mold Abatement, DC/AC Power, Critical Computer Rooms, Chilled Water, Heating Water, Steam Low & High Pressure, Central Plants, LEED.

Developed combining Chilled Water Grid technology with Simultaneous Fully Modulating 4-pipe Hydronic Heat Pumps such as MultiStack VME II or Robur/Chiltrix. This solution allows groups of buildings and heating cooling loads to be served from water or air cooled heat pump equipment potentially without the use of natural gas boilers or evaporating water cooling towers.

Developed use of VFD fan wall technology as a safe quiet replacement for aging vane-axial fan building air conditioning systems.

Net Zero water use options for Cooling Towers, Hybrid Fluid Coolers, engineered resin technology, rainwater and condensate fin water recovery, RO water blending, reclaim water.

Zero Net Energy, High Performance Building, and LEED - Design and Commissioning.

Critical Data Center Redesign - Design out the reheat for energy savings with variable airflow computer room AC units, add a room vapor barrier, dedicated outside air unit for room humidity control. Also indirect/direct units for 100% OSA design.

Replace low efficiency filters with low pressure drop 95% efficiency filters. Provide fan speed controlled ceiling HEPA filters for OR's & Clean Laser Labs.

Custom Air Handler design including high performance Double Duct Dual Fan VAV.

The Chilled Water Hydronic Grid connects together individual chiller plants in separate buildings, any chiller in any building can serve any load in any building, often one chiller can serve an entire campus in winter.

Central Plant Chiller and Pumping optimum analysis including Steam, Electric, Thermal Storage, High/Low Pressure Steam or Hydronic Boilers and Pumping; Laboratory Process CHW/HHW.

Laboratory, Process, & Kitchen exhaust systems; Hospitals and Clean Room systems.
