Elementary Teacher. Recently retired from a position working for over 25 years
within the Montgomery County Public School system as a first-grade teacher in a self-contained/home setting. Responsible for the planning and executing of all lessons and projects according to set goals and objectives. Assignments either now or once included: Serving as grade-level chairperson, representing and collaborating with 11 other highly-skilled first grade teachers in an effort of providing enriching activities for young learners. Served as the first grade representative to the Southern Accreditation of Colleges team, with the responsibility of gathering, organizing, and demonstrating evidence of effective curriculum and instructional planning. Coordinated and implemented lessons that related to incorporating technology into school sites’ summer reading and enrichment program.
