Evaluate employee performance and monitor employee time and wages for preparation of performance appraisals.

Review the warehouse records system and maintain accurate inventory by monitoring the cycle count process, factory returns procedures, reassembly of robbed merchandise, scheduled ship dates on hold shelf merchandise.

Review warehouse supplies on a timely basis to ensure the supplies on-hand will meet the demands of the operation.

Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner insuring that all OSHA and other company safety policies are adhered to.

Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.

Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel who will supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials; review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.

Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.

Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport; schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.

Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing; respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.

Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
