Experience

For the projects listed below, I created the structural design concept report which includes project brief, adopted codes & standards, design loads (dead, live, wind, seismic, notional, thermal, earth & ground
water pressure, temporary hoist and Crane and
construction loads), design load combinations, P- Effect (if applicable), material specifications,
durability, serviceability, soil characteristic and data, design method, structural system, applicable
software programs and other design criteria.
I prepared the RFP for the geotechnical and
topographical survey, which includes: terms of
reference, boreholes (number, depth and locations), CPTs cone penetration test (number and locations) if applicable.
I built the structural model for the structure using the applicable software program.
I analyzed the structural model and make sure it is safe for gravity, lateral and other loads.
I checked the structure stability and insure that it is within the allowable limit in the adopted code.
I designed and detailed the structure’s foundation, either it is shallow (isolated, strip, strap, combined and raft on soil) or deep foundations (pile, pile caps and raft on piles), abutments, culverts and retaining walls, according to the structure loads and soil report data, and insure that it can carry all the design loads safely.
I calculated the pile type vertical and horizontal capacity for all applicable load combinations.
I designed and detailed the retaining walls to carry all design loads safely.

I designed and detailed the structure columns and shear walls in all levels, to carry the design loads safely using the applicable software programs and
manual design.
I designed and detailed the structure beams in all levels and insure it can carry all the design loads safely.
I designed and detailed the flooring systems, (cast- in-situ, pre-cast, post tension concrete floors and combined floor systems).
I designed and detailed the water tanks and parking structures.
I reviewed and supervised the structural design
which performed by other structural engineers and
corrected it if needed.
I reviewed the structural shop drawings which done by the contractors.
I calculated the structural properties which including mass moment of inertia for each level (value and
coordinates), the first three mode shapes (frequency Dx, Dy, Rz) at each level, 50-years wind speed,
wind induced accelerations and damping ratios, and sent it to M/s BMT to conduct the wind tunnel test for the two towers and prepare their report for the wind loads.
I prepared construction documents and review
contractor’s submittals for several projects.
I was leading a team of structural engineers, drafting staff and sub-consultants engaged in carrying out the structural design and preparation of construction
documents.
