Led a team of seven covering the booming electronics industry and the impact the massive 1998 earthquake had on it and the global electronics supply chain. . As bureau chief I initiated a system to help reporters expand their sourcing network beyond PR contact people. The plan included time off to compensate for weekend meetings/activities with sources and expanded entertainment budgets that ultimately led to superior coverage and exclusives.
