Prepared and revised Site Safety plans to ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC standards
Prepared and revised preliminary, change order and closeout documents (IOMs, Warranties, EUP, PW4, Equipment Tags, attic stock, training videos, PW2) upon coordinating with vendors and subcontractors
Coordinated with General Contractors, Project Officers and Project Managers to ensure all punch list, inspection report and closeout items are scheduled and completed promptly for over 30 projects
Maintained, Organized and updated MS Excel logs: closeouts, inventory and tools
Communicated effectively with Field Team regarding required tools and materials and resolve diverse field issues
Lead and managed an offshore Closeout Team in closing out and completing projects valued over $500,000
Negotiated with vendors/manufacturers to procure cheapest equipment & material to fulfill project requirements
GC Eng & Associates – Engineering Aide Intern June 2018 - Aug 2018
Utilized MS Excel and Word to organize raw data and revise specification sheets as per company’s standards
Presented and thoroughly explained various projects to potential clients in a detail-oriented manner
Facilitated the Project Engineer’s tasks while mastering AutoCAD by sketching floor plans, tracing PDFs, scaling various drawings of floor plans, editing viewports and other miscellaneous tasks utilizing engineering judgment.
SEEK PAL Center – Tutor Sep 2017- May 2018
Tutored fellow college students in Physics and Mechanical Engineering courses by assisting them in their weaknesses and practicing relevant problems to prepare them for exams and quizzes.
Efficiently recorded and maintained students’ progress on online database to present at meetings with the director
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills: MATLAB, ANSYS Fluent, AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, HSMworks, CREO, Procore, Java Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
PROJECTS
Optimized a Nuclear Fuel Rod Design
Achieved an optimal shape for the cross section of a fuel rod that produced maximum power output but would not allow the maximum temperature of the rod to exceed 1000 C within the given parameters and restraints
MATLAB coding assured an efficient procedure to obtain accurate calculations and results
Fitness Database
Developed with MySQL to store personal information about a trainer, their customer, and their desired fitness program with logging capabilities.
Numerical Analysis of Heat Conduction using Finite Difference Method
ANSYS Fluent and MATLAB presented the theoretical and graphical temperature distribution across a 2D plate
Using different grid spacing and nodal method, equations were determined using energy balance concept, organized with matrices and results were compared
Modeled and Analyzed Properties of a Fluid over a Pipe
Performed CFD analysis with ANSYS Fluent to create a flow model for a fluid flowing over a cylindrical pipe
Analyzed the resulting pressure and velocity profile graphs for the fluid for a specific Reynold Number.
Coin Cell for Cutting Edge Battery Research, Senior Design
Focused on extremely precise height adjustment of the cell in the X-ray diffraction machine and ensured that the angle of incidence is above 10 degrees to meet sponsor’s requirements
The components of the coin cell were 3D printed and manufactured; then tested as per sponsor’s standards to ensure no failures and proper cycling of the final product.
Manufactured a Hand Crank Saw, Manufacturing Processes
Used SolidWorks and HSMworks to model components of the hand saw mechanism such as, circular saw blade, gears, gear holders, and shafts using G-code with CNC machine for mechanism assembly.
Finite Element Analysis on a Bicycle Wrench
Modelled a wrench in SolidWorks using via sketching and spline techniques
Performed mesh and force analysis using finite element method
Applied failure theory and simulation data to suggest an improved wrench design
Optimized the Rankine Cycle for Steam Turbine
Calculations for: Ideal Rankine cycle, cycle with reheating, and cycle with open feed water heaters.
Specifications given for: power output, inlet pressure, reheat inlet temperature and maximum moisture level
Parameters obtained for: mass flow rate, maximum efficiency and feasible number of open feed water heaters.
Reverse Engineered a Remote-Control Car
Constructed a three-dimensional model of a toy car with SolidWorks by performing reverse engineering
Suggested improvements for the design and performance of the car
Presented our sketch and design in a simple, effective manner.
