Thunderhead to Salesforce Integration and Deposit Banking Project

To improve the CRM process, Thunderhead was integrated with Sales force. Existing logics were redefined to improve the performance of the system. Around 30+ documents were rebranded as per the business needs.

For Deposit Banking Project worked from Scratch for brand new Package Creation with corresponding Documents, Shared Contents,Layout, Updating Data Modeler, Batch Config and Op Configuration.

As a Developer, I was involved in:

Need to build the design in TH Business Content Studio with logical implementations.

Need to create layout and styleset for template development.

Creating O/p Config files for Bin / envelope dispatch.

Creating Business logic based on the user requirement.

Westfiled Client is doing business on Personal and Auto Insurance. And as part of that for effective customer communication Smartcom is being used.

Smartcomm is primarily used in batch and RealTime processing of the Policy Decs, Agreements, Disclosure Letters, Benefit Kits and documents through Small Business, Large Commercial etc.

Along With Policy Related Documents Though Smartcomm the claims documents will be processed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Composition of static and dynamic templates with Styles and layouts

Updating of master templates like Quote proposal and Policy Dec

Working on XSD if needed and performing the Testing though XML by updating it.

Provide support on Deployment and Smarctcom version upgrade.

Business has already some algorithms which are running in Universe systems, so we have analyzed those algorithms and created the logics in Spring Boot Restful API as per new requirements.

January 2017 – May 2020, Application Developer@IBM for Client: Fireman's Fund Insurance Company (FFIC) d/b/a Allianz

Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company d/b/a Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty, decided to start the Americas Transformation Program to develop the necessary extensions to AGCS IT architecture to support the US Mid-Corp business.

This required digitization of the FFIC legacy forms across various line of businesses. 2000+ legacy forms from various LOBs (Property, General Liability, Crime, Entertainment and Excess Umbrella) were composed over 3 phases as below:

• ATP Phase 1

• ATP Phase 2 and 2.x

• ATP Phase 3

Lines of business: General Liability – Supported migration of 550 GL forms to integrate to CUBE (upstream), CUBE/Property 250 property, CUBE/Package –300 forms that are common across all LOBs, Entertainment: 400+ ENT forms, Excess Umbrella: of 600+ XS/U forms.

Project Responsibilities :

Use of Thunderhead Now – Business Content Studio, Admin and Business Object Studio and Smartcomm – ATD, Data Modeler and Appliance.

Composition of static and dynamic thunderhead templates, enclosures for endorsements, interline, intra-line, policy holders’ messages; PHMs and cross product forms.

Composition of master templates like Quote proposal, Binder document, Policy and Midterm change documents.

Reduced maintenance costs by rationalizing thunderhead forms to eliminate duplicates (Ex: Grouping Table headers across forms), removing obsolete forms, identified opportunities to split or merge forms, enforce branding.

Creating Document/Template, Layout, Assembly Rules, Style sets, Scripts, Script Libraries, Shared Contents, Enclosures and Multi-Part Tables.

Single point of contact for deployment of packages to the SIT, training and UAT environments.

Responsible for storing all the composed forms as specimen copies in SharePoint for UWs and business users’ reference.

Provide production support by resolving incidents and defects in Service now and HP ALM over various phases of the SDLC in a timely manner.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) was looking for a tool to the Account Technicians for review their policies. The scope of this project was to develop a review tool from the scratch using latest Java technologies in Agile methodology. It’s a web-based application which can access by AGCS users across the Globe.

Roles & Responsibilities:

I was part of this project as a Senior Application Developer.

As it’s a new tool, Client have only their over-all business requirements and I had worked with client to convert the Business requirements to functional requirements by dividing into multiple functional modules.

Converting the functional requirements into technical terms and preparing the Detailed Design.

I took a part of all the development phases like requirement gathering, Detail Design, coding, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance testing support and the production deployment.

Aug 2013 – Jan 2016, Application Developer@IBM for Client: Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS)

Property Insurance Product Standardization project was initiated by FFIC to introduce some of new attractive coverage in property line of business. Nearly 35 new converge introduced as per this project, effects involved in all the property line applications. This project support was included end-to-end policy admin system for personal insurance where we can perform all the types of policy-related transactions like new business, renewals, cancellations, midterm changes. There is nightly batch system which generates the required reports and data files for the downstream systems like Billing, Printing, Archive, Claims, Statistical record system and Third-party Vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Played as a Solution Engineer for PIPS project and worked closely with client (Business analyst) to get the clarity of the whole Business requirements.

Converting the Business requirements into functional requirements in the form of Conceptual Design and shared the same to development team for coding.

With my experienced technical skills guide the development team for their code development and verify the code changes.

I have performed the UAT (User Acceptance testing) testing, provided the signoff of code promotion and done the post production functional testing.
