I worked with the Department of Social Services for 14 years. I initially started in an entry level position as a Case Aide for Child Welfare and progressed into the position of Child Welfare Caseworker.

I continued to work for Prowers County with Public Health as a case manager/ single entry point services for Options for Long Term Care for 6 years.

Most recently I served as the administrator for the Legacy at Lamar Assisted Living. I enjoy working with people and assisting them in making positive changes in their lives and the lives of their families.

Child Welfare Caseworker

Duties: Case management; supervise visitations, working one on one with clients regarding family or individual issues, testifying in court, interviewing individuals regarding abuse or neglect allegations, accessing community resources to assist clients, writing reports of progress for court hearings, conducting home visits, documenting conversations with client and service providers. Attend regular staffing regarding children in placement, educational meetings or staffing regarding the parents.

Child Welfare Case Aide

Duties: Regular home visits with parents, provide skills training in areas of budgeting, housekeeping, parenting monthly reports to caseworkers, transporting clients, supervising visitations, and advocating for clients with services or meetings.
