I worked Material Damage and Homeowner claims as field claims representative from 1989 - 1998. I have worked Material Damage field claims since 1998. My role has included effectively and efficiently investigating liability, coverages, and potential fraud. Completing physical and virtual inspections of customers damaged property and completing thorough damage estimates. Assisting the customer throughout the claims process by communicating effectively and setting expectations to achieve a high-quality claims outcome. During my career I have been a mentor to the newer MD associates in my work group, and other work groups, and been an unofficial team lead to my peers in every work group I have been part of, and filled in for the Claims Managers when asked, that I have worked under.

CITY OF MORRISTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

02/1987 – 05/1988

Responsible for general police work which included routine patrol work, enforcing the city and state laws; making preliminary investigations on crimes and testifying in court on these cases; investigating and reconstructing traffic accidents; performed many administrative duties pertaining to detailed reports and record keeping. Performed various community and human relations functions.

03/1982 – 03/1986

I enlisted as an E-1 and received an Honorable Discharge as an E-5. Worked on various electronic / electrical communication equipment onboard the USS Coral Sea CV-43. When I left the Navy, I was responsible for the Dimension 2000 PBX Telephone System and the supervision of all personnel assigned to the Telephone Exchange Work Center. My responsibilities included the evaluation of subordinates, organization of job assignments, prioritizing workloads, and inventory/ordering of supplies. Under my supervision, the Telephone Exchange Work Center went from one of the worst, to one of the top in the Electrical Division of the Engineering Department.
