Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of medication used in the Omnicell machines located at long-term care facilities. These responsibilities include the following: retrieve patient-specific prescriptions, bill facility/patient for medication used, update medication listing for facilities, run daily, weekly, and monthly usage reports, assist CII department with STAT requests, general filing, travel to long-term facilities to perform in-services, fingerprinting and education of the Omnicell when new facilities are acquired or as requested. Polysomnographic Procedure – Prepared/calibrated equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjusted, as needed. Applied electrodes and sensors according to accepted/published standards. Performed appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjusted, as needed. Performed routine (PAP) mask fitting(s). Recognized and provided age-specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of all patient demographics. Performed polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring tracing quality to ensure artifact-free signals and adjusted, if needed. Documented routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure and other significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. Implemented appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.). Medical Secretary II – Performed secretarial duties which included the following: medical transcription, patient scheduling, contacted doctors regarding sleep prescriptions and maintained patient charts. I performed in this capacity for approximately two (2) years supporting the secretary until her retirement. After her retirement, I filled in as the F/T secretary and trained the replacement secretary. I was chosen as a “Superuser” when EPIC (new EHR) was introduced in 2016 and was asked to assist in the training of staff hospital wide.
