public areas. Help guest retrieve lost items. Ensure all assigned rooms or cabins are clean

Equipment Operator II

Responsible for maintaining the shop area of Public Works to ensure cleanliness and

safety to all employees and customers. I fill in, in different departments when needed to

help turn water on and off, setting up work zone areas for different crews, picking up

refuse, receiving inventory and putting it away, filing, answer phones, very efficient in

operating tractors, zero-turn mowers and various hand tools. Previously, (2004-2011) I

worked in the traffic dept of Fredericksburg public works, making street signs, had two

others working under me, installing the signs, I worked on traffic signals, worked on

setting up work zones for the safety of my crew. Responsible for daily work sheets,

inventory, work details for the day and the safety of my crew. Kept account of materials

used and materials ordered. 2013-2016, I oversaw the refuse crew I was assigned to and

the truck we used. We worked every weekday picking up refuse on a daily basis.

Responsible for the well keeping of the truck, kept track of tickets from the landfill on the

loads taken in, kept everyone in check on the safety of the truck and the employees on it.

I was responsible for their wellbeing while working.

Owned and managed a small flower and shrub nursery in Stafford County. Managed

inventory incoming and outgoing. Handled all Customer Service relations.

Managed a crew for installing new lawns for newly built homes and all landscaping

needs such as planting flowers and shrubs. Along with the landscaping part of it I also

had a little shop with nursey inventory I worked out of. Made orders for the supplies for

the store and crew of the landscaping. Customer service was a big part of the business,
