I was responsible for dressing professionally and creating an elegant atmosphere for wedding receptions. As part of this role, I assisted in decorating and setting up the venue, ensuring that every detail was perfect for the big day. My job as a tutor for the school board was very rewarding. I had the opportunity to positively impact students’ academic progress and overall confidence in their abilities. I assisted students in understanding course material and completing homework assignments. As well, I encouraged and motivated students to set and achieve academic goals. My position at Highgate Retirement Residence was a Dietary Aide. I ensured standards were met while working in the kitchen and serving and socializing with the residents. I prepared the dining room with proper cleaning and sanitation. When dinner time approached, I serve the residents with friendly and efficient meal service which always provides them with their essential needs. A residents daily essential needs included, cutting up or mincing their food, serving small or larger portions as required, remembering those with lactose free diets, low salts diet, and remembering each residents’ allergic reactions. At the conclusion of the resident’s meal, I resumed cleaning the dining room and doing the laundry.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

• I was the tech head at St. Thomas More. This was an amazing leadership opportunity for me. I was in charge of announcements, videos, posters, and events. I organized a charitable event, Walk for Water, where I got many participants to join my team and I, on a long walk at Bayfront Park, Hamilton. This walk was in place to third world countries and their clean water shortages. I also ran bake sales and end of the year slideshows. September 2017- September 2020
• During my first three years of high school, I was also a member of St. Thomas More’s competitive cheerleading team. I made many new friends and learned commitment, collaboration, and teamwork.
