Verifies patient insurance. Provides copy of order to the Therapist(s) informs the therapist the patient insurance has been verified and the patient is cleared to schedule for evaluation and treatment. Registers the patient in HCS, scans patient information into the system, discharges patient at the end of each month. Receives referrals from outer lying facilities for Sleep Study, verifies patient insurance. Fax requested information to insurance company on approval from insurance, call to schedule in lab study or home study. Register patient in HCS, scan patient information into the system. Discharge patient at the end of each month.

Transfers needs of patients in basic and complex situations, identified potential or actual needs. Communicates the information to therapists or sleep study tech. Responsible to perform the Inpatient Admissions Coordinator duties while the Full Time Coordinator is out.

Scheduler

Assists the Chief Nursing Officer in the management and maintenance of centralized nursing staffing plan by coordinating the scheduling of all nursing employees, utilizing input from Chief Nursing Officer or Nursing Supervisor to identify staffing needs. Schedules approximately 100 nursing staff employees using developed staffing guidelines and utilizes worksheets to optimize staff utilization and minimize overtime expenses. Responsible for checking any missed punches and make any necessary corrections as needed on a daily basis, post any incentive pay as indicated by the Chief Nursing Officer and Human Resources. Communicates attendance, PTO and leave requests to Chief Nursing Officer as needed. Prepares and distributes a staffing confirmation for the next 24 hour staffing. Contacts contracted nursing agencies when needed for supplemental staffing. Ensures current and appropriate Information regarding agency personnel is reviewed and obtained prior to agency personnel working.

Assists and supports the Chief Nursing Officer by carrying out administrative assignments including, but not limited to, written and verbal correspondence, administrative and agency personnel working.
