I'm a hands on everyday special needs worker and mother to my 17 year old son, I also
worked as a DSP, and It is a life passion of mine, thanks to my son showing me how to care from the heart about special needs, not just professionally. Aside from my duties as a ASD mom, I've been promulgated avidly for my cleanliness at every occupation that I've had the privilege of working at.

Work Experience
Direct Support Professional (DSP)
M.Y.E.P (Mayors Youth Empowerment Program) - Iowa City, IA August 2012 to April 2013
I worked in a dayhab with mostly adults, and sometime children who had different types of mental and physical disabilities. Sometimes I had a group of clients, anywhere from 3-5, or some days I had a one on one client. I logged their daily activities, ranging from exercise, leisure activities, and their own different goal(s), ranging in differences to each client. I prepared their meals, and had to help feed the client depending on their efficiency. I worked with clients in wheelchairs, and those who needed the use of a lift. I did brief changing as well.
Sale Associate/Cashier
Petland - Iowa City, IA
March 2011 to July 2012
I worked as a sales associate/cashier on products and new upcoming products in the store, so we were knowledgeable about the stores products, and knew what the customers needed when asking for help or advice on what their pet needed. I also was assigned to study and learn about all different breeds of dogs after I was hired, because a huge part of the job was selling pure bred puppies to the customers.
• Made commission on sales that I made
• Had an in depth study on different dog breeds, and all of their traits, and anatomy.
• Had to be very friendly and communicative to our customers
• Had a very positive and cheerful work environment at all times. Daycare Worker/Cleaning of gym Equipment

In Home Caregiver
I worked for my son's grandmother, I apologize I can't remember the company it was through - Canton, OH
March 2007 to August 2009
I worked with a 94 year old woman, who's name was Mary. She had Alzheimer's. She didn't have any family but a nephew who lived in New York at the time. I stayed with her during the nights on weekends mostly and a time or two during the week usually. I did everything for her, including preparation of meals, having her eat, (even when she didn't want to). I bathed her every night, got her dressed for the day and for bed time. I handled her medication, and gave it to her when I was there with her, woke up several times during the night with her, assured her safety, changed her bedding, things gradually got worse over the couple years until she was put in the hospital until she passed.
