Transmission Engineer, RCC-SWA Cyber Center, VECTRUS-OMDAC-SWACA, Kuwait, Mar 2021 – April 2023

Support the Government with the overall management of the theater Enterprise transport layer communications systems, i.e., microwave, multiplexer (Promina/Asynchronous Transfer Mode

(ATM) or future NETOPS tools) and circuit/cable backbone for the theater. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all multiplexer (MUX) based equipment within the assigned theater and have an in-depth knowledge of various types of MUX equipment. Regulate Theater traffic (load balance) in order to obtain high network utilization and avoid congestion through traffic shaping, congestion control, bandwidth allocation and flow control. Work with engineers from the 160th Signal Brigade, 335th Theater Signal Command, and DISA to engineer new circuit requirements and manipulate the existing circuit environment to ensure the most efficient use of our communications resources. Maintain accurate theater and regional level transport diagrams as well as site level rack elevations for all transport equipment. Coordinate with DISA, CECOM, Army and Air Force organizations to facilitate daily operations, system upgrades, and logistical issues to ensure the readiness of the terminal. Provides sustainment operations, updates procedures, and instructs new personnel on the site unique tasks. SATCOM Station Manager, U.S. ARMY, D Company, 302D Signal BN, Ft Bragg NC; Aug 03 – Feb 05

Officer in Charge of the AN/GSC-39B Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS), and Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP) and 4096-lineDigital Matrix Switch located at Fort Bragg, NC. Performed as the senior subject matter expert for signal assets that provided vital command and control communications. Responsible for the overall operations and maintenance of the largest satellite facility in the world consisting of 5 Department of Defense Satellite Communication (DSCS) earth terminals, located at Fort Meade, Maryland. SATCOM site supported multiple DOD customers, conducting critical world missions directed by the DOD, JCS, and the National Command Authority by providing maximum communications reliability. Additional command responsibilities include the management of 40 U.S. ARMY and four Department of the Army Civilian personnel, as well as site finances, administration, logistics, equipment installations, computer Lan/Wan, security

(COMSEC), and training.

SATCOM Station Manager, U.S. ARMY, RAF Menwith Hill, UK; Jun 95 – Jun 99 Orchestrated the overall operations and maintenance of a Department of Defense Satellite Communication (SATCOM) earth terminal, ASSET commercial satellite earth terminal (KU- band), and Sprint DS3 commercial satellite earth terminal (C-band) located at RAF MENWITH HILL, in northern UK. SATCOM site supported a sole DOD customer, conducting critical world missions directed by the DOD, JCS, and the National Command Authority by providing maximum communications reliability. Additional command responsibilities include the management of three U.S. ARMY and 17 Department of the Army Civilian personnel, as well as site hiring, finances, administration, logistics, equipment installations, security (COMSEC), training and establishing site policies and procedures due to dislocation from higher headquarters located in Belgium.

Signal Systems Maintenance Technician Supervisor for a U.S ARMY worldwide rapid deployment communications maintenance shop consisting of 14 technicians responsible for communications and COMSEC equipment repair in support of 24th Infantry Division Corp Support assets. Duties included establishing procedures for the repair of Sincgars Radios, Night Vision Goggles, and Encryption/Decryption devices. Developed, four mobile maintenance teams to insure worldwide deployable capabilities within 24 hours with all necessary resources to provide critical electronic communications support. Led a team of 15 personnel in the performance of demand and non-demand supported maintenance. Responsible for operations and maintenance of a remote Satellite Communications Terminal (AN/TSC-54) in Sinop, Turkey. Performed system-level maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment. Read, interpreted, and worked with complex sketches, drawings and schematics. Conducted quality control inspections on all repairs to ensure technical specifications were met.
