Objectives

My Objective is to secure a Physical Education teacher position and ultimately become the Head Coach of a High school basketball team. I want to give back to the up and coming student athletes the knowledge that I know so that they can thrive and be the best at what they choose to do. I feel that it is my duty to help the younger generations, just like the generations before me also helped me.

Gather delivery tickets that are supposed to be delivered to customers.

Make sure that all materials that are to be delivered had everything on the tickets such as aluminum or steel conduit. Also check if the ticket had PVC pipe.

Load up all the materials onto your delivery truck and make the deliveries to all the customers and if you had any pickups from various customers or vendors, the delivery driver was to pick them up also.

Head Coach, Southside Rockets AAU Basketball ages 15U (June 2019- Present)

Became the Head Coach of Southside Rockets AAU team in June of 2019. I had the opportunity to coach some talented young men in the game of basketball. I was able to teach them the things that I know from playing the sport for so long and on an elite level. With the help of Coach Yell, the Director and Owner of Southside Rockets, we were able to win numerous amounts of tournaments and also take home first place trophies.

Assistant Head Coach Southside Rockets AAU Basketball ages 12-15U (June 2018-Aug 2018)

Became the assistant Head Coach with Coach Yell with the Southside Rockets. Helped with basketball fundamentals, shooting drills, ball handling drills, and everything that pertains to training in basketball. In doing this, we were able to help these student athletes become better at the game of basketball and also at the game of life.

Professional Basketball Career Overseas (2005-2010)

Played professional basketball overseas in many countries in the likes of Germany, New Zealand, Serbia Montenegro, and Argentina to name a few. Also participated in the Harlem Globetrotters camp held in Phoenix Arizona while preparing to go play overseas to stay in competitive shape.

University of Cincinnati (June 2000-March 2004) Men’s Basketball

Played Division 1 Basketball at the University of Cincinnati under the tutelage of Bob Huggins. In my Freshman Year, we accumulated over 30 wins and advanced to the Second Round of March Madness. My Sophomore year, we accumulated over 30 wins and advanced to the Sweet 16 of March Madness before being defeated by the UCLA Bruins. As for my Junior year, I was voted team captain and we accumulated over 25 wins and loss in the Second Round to Gonzaga. I received honors for having the best Free Throw percentage at 91%. In my final season as team captain, we advanced to the Second Round of March Madness and was ousted by the “Fighting Illini” of Illinois. We had a record of 27-5 to end my career on the Division 1 collegiate level.

Waltrip High School (1996-2000)

I attended Waltrip High School from 1996-2000 and participated in sports, namely basketball athletics under the tutelage of the late Fred Smith and Vincent Grayson. I competed from my freshman year starting on the varsity team and thrived in sports. I received accolades as a sophomore and made First Team All-State Tournament honors, Second Team All-Greater Houston and First Team All-District 22-4A. My Junior year, I made First Team All-District 22-4A and Player of the Year, First-Team All-Greater Houston, and Second Team All-State. In my senior year, I was voted First-Team All-District 22-4A and Player of the Year in the District, First-Team All Greater Houston and Player of the Year, First-Team All-State and Texas Mr. Basketball Player of the Year. In the summer after my junior year, I attended the NBA Players Association Basketball Camp that was held in New Jersey. Also received All-American honors for one of the top High School Basketball players in America.

Skills

Can operate the sit-down forklift, the stand-up forklift, and also a very fast learner. As far as teaching, this will be my first year in a school setting, so I will be a novice teacher, although when it comes to coaching basketball, I have been coaching for over 3 years with AAU basketball leagues. In order to be a good coach, you also have to be coachable and I consider myself to be very coachable.

Additional Information

As far as work ethic on the job or in the classroom/school setting, I am a fast learner, self-starter, self-motivated and will always be one of the best in doing the job and task that the job requires. I believe I have a great reputation when it comes to getting the job done and all my past employers are able to vouch on that notion.
