SUMMARY
A Subject matter expert (SME) who adapts collaboration through project management and consulting experiences in the: packaged goods industry, top-tier events sector, like The Oscars Governor's Ball, and across every facet of the hospitality industry; developing user experience(UX) training and initial concepts for organizations from initial concept, through production, to successful consumer experiences (CX) time and again. In addition, a Master's level understanding & insight in Industrial Organizational Psychology helps to optimize organizational operations. DBass Design, Los Angeles - Freelance Consultant, Sep 2014-Present
Consultative digital design experience in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Sketch, Jira, and other agile-based software. I empathize first via persona creation, journey/empathy mapping, and generating user stories, which leads to ideating many solutions for complex user pain points. Implementing actual research, focusing on KPIs such as SUS, error rate, and rate completion allows prototyping and testing repeatedly. DRNX-MYTH, Los Angeles - Beverage Product Designer, Sep 2018-Sep 2022
Leading the creation and design of the DRNXMYTH product line, America's first ready-to-drink craft cocktail with cold-pressed juices made by local mixologists. I helped approve design mock-ups and negotiated vendor commercial juice contracts to drive down costs by under twenty percent—generating sales leads in the Los Angeles market. Understanding every facet of hospitality via nationwide consulting led to effective costing, digital advertising, and successful mixologist contract negotiations.
POP-Chekr, Los Angeles - Beverage Product Manager, Sep 2018-Sep 2019
Also known as Plan, Order, Party-Check! was a technology company set as a one-stop shop for everything events from hiring the bartenders, cocktails delivered, and party rental vendors, I handled the overall user experience for everything beverage. The company successfully transitioned into thebash.com in 2019. By spearheading content and logo creation, typography, wire-framing, and mobile prototyping with Figma while conducting a competitor analysis of local Southern California bartenders to best offer consumers reasonable pricing.
Wolfgang Puck Catering, Los Angeles - General Manager, Beverage, Mar 2017-Sep 2018
Leader in opening the Luskin Conference Center and creating the nation’s first state-run beverage program at UCLA in 2017. Using concord, forecasting sales, we exceeded by twenty percent, witnessing over four million dollars in revenue for the first year, spearheaded training and facilitation of 150 individuals from various backgrounds and education levels. After UCLA, I became the bar Manager of the Oscars Governor Ball 2018 & created the beverage program for Spago, Indian Wells.
He-Lo Productions, Arts District DTLA - ‘The Paradise Bar’ General Manager, Feb 2016-Feb 2017
In 2016 held a complete project management experience of 'the paradise bar,' a unique depression-era speakeasy in the back of an immersive theater set—from the initial idea, creation of the bar, ergonomics, hiring and training of the staff, user, and employee experience flow, product and vendor negotiations, pulling licensees, and overall management of 'the paradise bar' through opening night, and until the close of the show. Awarded the best new speakeasy in DTLA 2016.
Roomforty catering, Los Angeles - Beverage Director, Feb 2015-Feb 2016
Created a beverage program from the ground up, including a venue, and catering company. Created cocktail list, bartender manual, beverage programs, training regimens, cost of goods, ordering systems, inventory systems, and beverage program. Operated at a total event cost of less than twenty percent. Catered to primarily high-end clientele, Keanu Reeves, Yves Saint Laurent executives, Warner Brothers senior management, PWC, etc.
Post & Beam Hospitality, Los Angeles - Beverage Director, Feb 2013-Feb 2015
Heading first Willie Jane, I was published in LA Weekly’s Best of Edition, best bar program: Abbot Kinney in 2014, by starting the garden to glass movement in LA, right after GQ labeled Abbot Kinney “the coolest block in America.” Meticulous attention to detail coupled with a down-south approach to hospitality led the program to an impressive increase in the percentage of alcohol sales from twenty to sixty percent of total sales in two years.
Morton’s, Beverly Hills - Dining Room Manager, Feb 2012-Feb 2013
Thorough hospitality training at the highest level, in a high-volume fine dining experience in a well-established multi-million dollar restaurant. Responsible for various duties, including weekly inventory, quality line checks, handling customer complaints, comps, voids, safe, closing paperwork, locking up the restaurant, and being held responsible for a staff of fifty-seven. In addition, I was responsible for high-end banquet service and extensive sommelier experience.
