Enhancing Properties of Bitumen by Adding Plastic APR 2020 – MAY 2020

• This was my final year project in my Bachelor of Civil Engineering where I was leading a group of 4 members. I worked on solving the problems like plastic waste which helped in reducing the cost while making repairs on the roads. We did some lab tests to conclude that plastic can be used as a binding material instead of bitumen. We found it was a great binding material which can be used with aggregate to fill the potholes rather than making the entire road completely.
