●Diamer Basha Dam Project is an important Indus river cascade project for water storage as well as hydropower. It will be the largest RCC dam in the world in terms of RCC volume with height of 272 m and two powerhouses one on each bank with aggregate installed generation capacity of 4500 MW.

●Diamer Basha Consultants Group (DBCG) is the Joint Venture of NESPAK (Lead Firm) Pakistan, ACE Pakistan, MM Pakistan, MWH USA, AFRY Sweden and Dolsar Turkey.

Duties and Responsibilities:

oDay-to-day contractual correspondence with contractor of Main Dam Contract MW-1 as per the prevailing conditions of contract (FIDIC 1987).

oAnalysis of Contractor’s notices for claims and preparation of timely responses to notices.

oIssuance of Engineer’s instruction for variation including preparation of contractual narratives and processing of Variation Orders.

oEvaluation of extension of time (EOT) cases primarily attributed towards Employer and preparation of Engineer’s contractual assessment of principal events of a claim.

The infrastructure developed will also support JPCL’s plan to have an additional 600-MW unit at the same site.

●Jamshoro Project Implementation Consultants (PIC) is lead by Mott MacDonald UK with associated partner MM Pakistan.

oProvided support to international procurement lead of Mott MacDonald (UK) on evaluating multi-stage EPC bids, preparing bid evaluation reports (BERs) on ADB procurement guidelines & prepared contract agreements based on ENAA (Engineering Advancement Association of Japan) 2012 templates.

oEnsured the implementation of ‘Integrated Management System (IMS)’ for better quality assurance of the project as per Mott MacDonald’s standards.
