Solutions Engineer- Bank of America / Tek Systems 2021 – Present

Currently working with BofA GIS department as an IT Security Solutions Engineer, designing infrastructure for IS Security applications. Primary role responsibility is to design Network Infrastructure and Server solutions to implement internal client’s applications within the GIS space.

Leverage both internal and external IS resources to ensure project success.

Utilize Remedy ITSM and other tracking software, to input and coordinate internal and external IS teams to accomplish various tasks for projects from on management perspective.

Projects encompasses utilizing technologies in OpenShift (Containers/Kubernetes), VM Ware, MS Office Suite, Visio, AppViewX, F5 Load Balancing Configurations and SharePoint.

Application Specialist / Team Lead – Atrium Health 2019-2021

●Manage two technology teams within the Physical Security Technologies, that implements and develops applications for access control (AMAG Symmetry), CCTV (Genetec), SAFE IPVM/ACM and 20 other Physical Security apps, with application and server upgrade path, per IS company standards.

●Continual mapping out Departmental Server Infrastructure, using Visio to create living document on SharePoint for Server layouts for historic and present, which leads to architectural designs for future states of the environment.

●Utilize MS 365 suite of tools and applications on an daily bases, like PowerBI to create data dashboards and then deploy using MS Teams to specific teammate that can utilize the specified data, as an example.

●Provide Vendor management with service contracts and support, along with setting guidelines for investing new technologies and building POCs based departmental roadmap. With the possibility to have the POC be developed into a Production application thru testing and development

Data Governance System Engineer-Sr- Carolinas HealthCare System 2016-2019

●Data Governance/Security development and systems management to ensure data integrity and appropriate usage according to internal/external specifications to meet Federal / State compliance and customer requirements.

●Technology infrastructure design and support for enterprise appliances (i.e. Maize, IBM InfoSphere and IBM RDM / MDM (Cloud Version)) that govern data to create true accounting records in real time or archival. Leverage on-site infrastructure and cloud-based technologies like Azure and EMC VBlock.

●Coordinate internal and external resources to troubleshoot and develop appliance processes and resolutions to enhance the customer experience.

●Daily tasks include leading meetings, technical consulting and the utilizing software Service-Now, MS Project, Visio and SharePoint.

●Run POCs, like Veritas Data Insights & McAfee Discovery, to research and develop software applications, to explore security and data governance monitoring based on HIPPA and State regulations. Along with data retention that is governed by those same regulations.

System Engineer- Carolinas HealthCare System 2005-2016

●Develop and research technical design packages based on internal/external specifications IS infrastructure standards, project timeline, and budget while adhering to State/Federal and HIPAA competencies.

●Coordinate internal and external resources to develop design packages that encompass requested databases (like MS SQL or Oracle) and appliance specifications by Vendor or client for project.

●Process includes leading meetings, technical consulting, streamline templates and training utilizing MS Project, Visio and SharePoint.

●Design IT infrastructure that ranges from Networking, Telecom (Cisco UC, Avaya CC & MS Lync) and Server elements of virtual or physical utilizing VMware 5.5/6, Citrix, HP, SAN storage (IBM or EMC), Cisco UCS or VCE Vblock.

●Manage the implementation, budgetary and technical aspects on Projects and POCs, like VCE VBlock, Hadoop and Data Center in Box.

●Build and deploy server project per internal/external design specifications while adhering to project timelines.

●Provide hardware and software updates on production servers per Microsoft standards and Appliance specifications to keep Intel, Citrix, VMware 5.5/6 and appliance server (HP and Cisco servers) environments operating at optimum performance levels. While utilizing EMC Isilon, VNX, VMAX SAN and IBM 8800 for data storage mechanisms.

●Diagnosis and repair servers per best practices established by Microsoft, external Vendor requirements in accord with CHS Information Services guidelines.

●Established and implement best practice and techniques for server business and disaster recovery methods utilizing IBM TSM, EMC DeDuplication and Replicated SAN to prevent data loss and reduce downtime for clients within the environment.

Application Specialist – Patient Care Applications Team-CHS 2003 – 2005

●Technical support and consultation for server applications and Project Management to support internal users.

●Troubleshoot issues with Clinical Applications and Nurse Call that occur in the hospital or outlying facilities utilizing Citrix or Intel Servers.

●Served as Internal consultant for the Project Managers concerning budgets, application flow for users along with managing / implementing Nurse Call systems.

●Researched and developed Nurse Call standard products for current and future projects that affect CHS.

●Assist in the training of Nursing and Hospital staff on specialized organizational programs (HBOC STAR and other Clinical systems) therefore developing and distributing educational materials to teach staff in a classroom setting per their needs.

Technician, Field Services -Carolinas HealthCare System 2000 – 2003

●Troubleshoot daily issues and resolve desktop PC (various Windows OS) and telephone issues within CHS
