My accrued clinical experiences totaled 672 hours delineated as follows:

112 hours in acute care adults hospitalized for acute or exacerbated illnesses and injuries; in addition to medically managing inpatient psychiatric adult patients with Tonisha Harrison, CNP at Promedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania, OH

241 hours in sports medicine for both pediatric and adult populations managing acute and chronic injuries of the general population and Adrian College and surrounding high school sports teams with Dr. Aron Gornowicz, DO, FAOASM, OT, at Promedica Physicians Family Medicine in Adrian, MI. In this office I also precepted with a family practice physician’s assistant, Alisha Hall, PA-C, providing care to all ages, birth to geriatric populations and managed a variety of health conditions, including chronic illnesses, mental health concerns, and acute illnesses and injuries.

December 2022-Present. Nurse Practitioner. Greater Midwest Urgent Care, Toledo, OH. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of patient conditions and illnesses in a timely and efficient manner. Prescribe medications, order lab and imaging tests, interpret diagnostic tests, and notify patients of their results appropriately. Perform an array of procedure including laceration repair and incision and drainage. Maintain an excellent rapport and working relationship with clinic staff. Promote healthy practices and provide education to patients and their families.

May 2020- December 2022. Registered Nurse/ Rapid Response Nurse. Promedica Flower Hospital, Sylvania, OH. Provide direct patient care to individuals in an acute care setting. Respond to emergencies throughout hospital setting with the rapid response team to address a variety of acute or exacerbated health conditions. Deliver care to patients both inpatient and outpatient, accessing ports, placing ultrasound IVs, monitoring patients during testing and procedures. Perform a variety of assessments during a rapid response, including emergency assessments, stroke scales assessments, and focused assessments. Coordinate care with the rapid response provider to identify and treat the crisis on hand and attempt to prevent arrest or death. Report differences in patient status to providers. Provide life-saving measures when necessary.

August 2021-December 2021. Clinical Instructor. University of Toledo, Toledo, OH. Assistant in providing bachelor’s level nursing students with clinical instruction and modeling nursing skills by demonstration that is in line with the core measures and course syllabus of University of Toledo. Provide supervision over all nursing tasks of a 9-student clinical group. Provide education to students on clinical symptoms of medical diagnosis and assist them in identifying and measuring for improved patient outcomes or signs of deterioration. December 2019-May 2020. RN Case Manager. Ohioians Home Healthcare, Perrysburg, OH. Manage patient caseload for all home care needs. Ensure patients are getting proper care and therapies as prescribed. Have open communication with patient's physicians or prescribing surgeon. Attend to a variety of patient needs including wound care (wound vacs included), IV placement/infusions, central or peripheral line dressing changes, NGT placement and monitoring nutrition, and delivering all the patient’s medical needs within the patient's home environment.

April 2018-December 2019. Emergency Room RN. Oaklawn Hospital, Marshall, MI. Hillsdale Hospital, Hillsdale, MI. Attend to emergent and urgent patient needs. Provide life-saving measures, utilizing PALs, ACLS, and BLS certifications. Administer medications, place IVs, draw labs, perform ECGs, transport patients to CT and X-Ray. Coordinating care with a medical team of physicians, respiratory therapists, CNAs, pharmacy in a positive manner. Provide therapeutic communication to patients during a difficult time for them. Provide patient education and discharge instructions individualized to patient’s diagnosis.

December 2016-April 2018. Hospice RN. Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Adrian, MI. Provide end of life care to patients in their home environment. Provide education to patient and family regarding comfort medications, symptom management, and progression of end-of-life phases. Monitor patients for signs of end-of-life processes. Use therapeutic communication with patients and family members during a difficult lifetime event. Educate caregivers and patients on home remedies for medical care in the dying process. Communicate with hospice team members, including physicians, medical social workers, massage therapist, spiritual care, and the nursing team to provide optimal patient care.
