Having an experience of 25 years as a Senior Teacher, I understand the role of counselor is very specialized and takes a high level of knowledge in educational systems and psychology. Commonly working in schools as a Teacher, I have played a role of guide counselor, assisting students in achieving their academic goals, conferring with students to determine what their educational aims are and then provide them with assistance in developing their skills and abilities to achieve those goals. In addition, I helped students to understand their strengths and weaknesses and provide support in overcoming them. As a Guidance counselor, I spend a great deal of time talking to students/Parents and listening to their problems and then understanding what limitations students have at each level and are required to be well equipped to handle them. I focused more on supporting college readiness for the students.
