In my role as an intern, I would collaborate with community resources and advocate for many clients that were of low socio-economic status. Other assigned tasks included connecting with case managers in efforts to support families and children, secure housing in collaborative efforts, completing intake followed by referrals. In my many interactions with clients at the Community of Hope, I had the privilege to support many clients that were of homeless immigrant status in translation and connecting them to resources.

MSW Intern at New Mexico State University for working closely with a case load of four students. My role was one of a Mentor to promote successful transition into college life. Additionally, I would encourage and guide students in making connections with community resources that would help them acquire services to improve opportunities to learn and perform in the classroom. Other responsibilities included serving in communities promoting Hunger and Sigma campaign. In this role, recruitment of guest speakers and assisting with organizing community events was my role. As an intern, I was able to host weekly mental health and community resource discussions on Zoom.
