About Me

I am a data analyst with * years of experience (2019–2022). I have successfully managed data for the EU- funded Dalbile project under UNFPA Somalia. Dalbile is one of the biggest projects currently implemented in Somalia. I am a logical, hard-working person, and I have extensive knowledge of how data is collected, analyzed, and interpreted. I am also able to design data through dashboards or infographics. I am a researcher who has conducted several studies in addition to being a blogger who writes on social issues, particularly for young people. I am passionate about statistics, innovation, technology, peace, the environment, and climate change.

Roles and Responsibilities

Managing all Dalbile project data that is being implemented in Somalia

Interpret data, analyze results, and prepare impact reports

Overall responsibility for the UNFPA WizMonitor System, which is intended to collect the outcome of the project

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

Collect and update project information at regular interval. Follow best practices in disseminating progress with colleagues and relevant stakeholders through project manager/management

Preparing monthly infographic data for all iRise progress activities

Responsible for registering participants for iRise programs such as the Minbar Initiative, Mogadishu Tech Summit, Rise Academy, and Dalbile Project. July 2020 to August 2021: Monitoring & Evaluation officer at Maan-dhis Organisation Responsibilities Held:

Collect data on project indicators and maintain an updated database on project progress

Support in the tracking of outcome of activities evidenced by accurate data to enhance quality of reporting

Determine appropriate methods of data collection and analysis, such as surveys, interviews, or statistical models

Conduct surveys and analyze data on a quarterly basis and make recommendations to improve the project based on the findings

Identify and document human interest stories and case studies based on the successes of implemented projects

Assist in reviewing log frames, M&E work plans and targets at proposal development stage through to project implementation

Support the Project Manager to prepare periodic project reports based on accurate and evidence-based data/information
