In my healthcare administration cohort at Concordia University, I learned the different clinical and administrative information systems used in healthcare organizations with an understanding of the need for the data provided while adhering to HIPAA regulations; patient privacy and compliance were a focus throughout the program. Furthermore, I learned how to regulate quality assurance with data provided for patient care, reimbursement, & clinical research. I also gained a better understanding of how different systems will give me an advantage in the healthcare field and actively listened to my peers and exemplified communication strategies for conflict management. Most importantly, I developed a personal model of decision making that is consistent with my personal values as well as ethical standards in relation to a diversified world.

Presently, in my position as a nurse, I observe patients under treatment to identify progress and monitor any side-effects of scheduled and routine medications. I am proud to announce that by working in the geriatric field of nursing, I understand the sociological and psychological aspects of treating the elderly population by providing both routine illness and emergency care. I take great pride in my job duties and strive on helping others with a genuine will to improve their health.

I have also learned and identified how to be an ethical leader of people, resources, and teams while understanding leadership skills, traits, and roles that are necessary to perform all the elements of multiple job duties in any job.
